Beware of FREE Demonstration/ Consultations You are probably wondering why we would warn you about "Free Consultations" on our free consultation page. Many dog trainers offer free visits as a way of getting your business. However, what commonly occurs is a trainer comes to your home with little or no "consult" time and, without much warning, places a shock collar on your puppy or dog. Another common scenario - the trainer takes your dog outside, they do a brief "evaluation" and then try to convince you that your dog will only do well if the trainer can have them brought to their kennel facility for "intense" or "focused" training. This, too, almost always involves the use of a shock collar.
Our FREE Consultation Our free consultation is just that! We sit down with you, discuss your situation and answer your questions. We then start basic leash-work and provide behavior assessments. Our free consultations are available to owners with puppies 6 months or younger and rescued or adopted dogs of all ages.
We do not use shock collars. Our methods are fully customizable so that you and your dog will benefit - even with just one session.
We want to earn your business. (A consultation cannot cover all issues and obedience training is obviously every owner's goal.) At the end of every consultation we will supply you with our assessment and go over the many options for training that we offer. The choice is yours. Whether you decide on group classes, private training or our K9 Personal training program, we know that we have a program that will work for you and your dog. If you decide we are not the dog training company for you, we understand. Dog training is a very personal decision all owners should feel comfortable with.
The Rescue Consultation It is sad to say but often times rescues are "rescues" for a reason. It’s not their fault as so many factors have affected their precious lives. It is incumbent upon all of us as a society to make an effort every day to improve the lives of every animal - from birth to death. But our rescues and adopted dogs frequently have special needs. We commend all owners of rescued and adopted dogs for doing their part.
Aggression, severe anxiety, fear; these are the common issues owners of rescued and adopted dogs must deal with every day. As a company it has always been our focus to assist our community by supporting good ownership skills. We have worked diligently over the last 20 years to correct the “disposable dog” theory of pet ownership. And with rescued dogs, once adopted into a home, we focus on making it work for both dog and owner right from the start. Our free Rescue Consultation is designed to help you better understand the needs of your new family member. (Free consultation is not available when aggression evaluation is required.)
