Exceptional Dog Training

John's Natural Dog Training is the best method of dog training I've ever encountered. I used to train and show dogs 20 yrs. ago and nothing I learned is compared to John's method. John has an innate ability to understand dogs of all breeds and uses compassion, understanding, skill and common sense in training the owner how to produce the best results for their dog. We have had 3 sessions thus far and have learned more in 3 private sessions than if we had taken several classes with another trainer. We immediately learned how to stop annoying and excessive barking and wining, potty training, and how to heel on leash. Additionally, John educated us on the importance of using natural foods to enhance our dog's performance, coats, and overall health. Within a week of feeding our dogs natural dog food, we noticed a difference in their coats, diminished scratching, and clearer eyes. John is truly a visionary of the times and assists a dog in using his natural inherent intelligent abilities to perform at the highest level.

Going through the private in-home training program has been amazing. Our trainer, Jessica McCloskey, helped us take our dog from being a slightly neurotic, anxious shelter rescue who destroyed our house on a regular basis to a well mannered, fun pet who we can really enjoy spending time with. I really wish I knew better how to express how incredible the experience has been. I've had dogs my whole life and have never had one this well behaved. The techniques I learned are extremely effective and they don't make me feel like I'm being mean to my dog, or bribing him with treats. And now when I have company over or take him out in public with me I'm constantly complimented on what a well behaved, sweet dog I have. And that feels pretty damn good.

We initially contacted John's company seeking help for our then 7 month old Beagle puppy who we had just adopted. We could tell he was smart, but that he needed some structure and guidance. Our trainer Denelle Smalley is so great. She is quite possibly the most patient person I have ever met. When our dog was not progressing as quickly as I hoped early on, I got a little frustrated; Denelle calmly reminded me that no matter how he behaves, getting upset will only make things worse. I think of that often when working with our little guy. She is encouraging and helpful and so nice to work with. We have seen remarkable progress in Murphy and will - without hesitation - rely on John and his team whenever we need more help, or when we get another dog. They are a great company, very professional and easy to work with. Don't think twice--call them today!
