John's 20 years of experience and intense knowledge of canine behavior allows him to share with owners the most effective ways to live with their canine companions.

 

Our In-Home Training packages are definitely our most popular as well as the most effective. By training you and your dog in your home we are able to address behavior issues specific to your lifestyle and home environment. We are able to teach all household members the same simple methods and techniques. No other dog trainer in San Diego provides you with this much support and opportunity for advanced training. AND, we do not use and would never advocate the use of electronic (shock) training devices. All obedience commands are guaranteed!

If you have an aggressive dog, we can help! With one Behavior Consultation we can give you an honest opinion of what to expect. Aggression is oftentimes a lack of confidence combined with an overreaction to fears. With the right training program to build confidence, and using by proper reinforcement and consistency, 90% of the time we can quell if not eliminate aggressive tendencies.

 

Housebreaking -  We offer Puppy Consults! We teach you common-sense, practical approaches without using food and without using fear-based methods. Our group classes are conveniently located in several locations around San Diego County. Your decisions are always paramount when determining the type of program we design for you.

Platinum In-Home Training

Our most popular and comprehensive private in-home program. 8 private sessions in your home and lifetime access to all of our group classes including Canine Good Citizen, Agility and other specialty classes. Customized for your needs - work at your own pace. We can tailor the program to address both behavior concerns and obedience needs no matter your dogs breed, age, or challenges.  Private training allows us to address issues most important to you. We can meet once a week or whatever schedule works best for you. The Platinum program offers the most complete training package to help you with obedience and behavior issues and also helps you better prepare your dog for the Canine Good Citizen test. This package is also recommended for dogs with aggression issues.

 

Gold In-Home Training

Private in-home training for families needing less commitment but same intensive training philosophy. 6 private training sessions, designed to meet your needs. You will also receive lifetime admission to our group obedience classes (not CGC, Agility or Specialty classes though.) As with the Platinum Package, we can address behavior as well as obedience concerns.

 

Silver In-Home Training

For those owners who might not be sure of how much training they actually need or can commit to, this package can be the perfect solution. The Silver Package offers 4 private in-home sessions and includes one round (6 lessons) of Group Obedience Class. Perfect for the dog and owner who may have previous training but just need some additional "polishing" utilizing our methods and techniques.

 

Bronze Unlimited Group

The Bronze Package is our unlimited group class package and perfect for the social dog who just needs obedience training. This package includes lifetime admission to beginning and advanced classes (does not include CGC, Agility or Specialty classes.) The Bronze package holder can attend any and all classes, as often as they like for the lifetime of the registered dog.

 

Group Classes

Beginning Obedience Class - For dogs that are 16 weeks or older - This class is for those dogs who have little or no obedience training and/or do not respond consistently to obedience commands. Includes class materials and Graduation Certificate.

Advanced Class - This class is only available to dogs who have completed our beginner class or private training. This follow-up course involves more intense handling techniques to help you get the response you need and want from your dog. Your dog will enjoy the mental stimulation!

 

Consultations

Puppy and behavior consultations can be scheduled if you just need help with a certain problem you might be experiencing with your new puppy or older dog, or if you are just not sure which training package will work best for you. This visit can be scheduled at your home, office or even at the dog park if that is where you are having issues. Best of all, if you decide later on to purchase a training package, the cost of that consultation will be credited towards whichever program you purchase!

 

Doggie Daycare

Our doggie daycare is back up and running. Kamp Kanine, LLC is very popular as we come to you. Our pick-up and drop-off service is convenient and easy to schedule. We provide a stimulating and fun day of exercise, and we reinforce obedience and good manners. Kamp Kanine, LLC is a mobile doggie daycare and we spend several days a week visiting hiking trails, beaches and private dog parks where your dog will never become bored!
